Barcelona Loans Aron Yakubshvili to Almeria

Barcelona has announced that it has reached an agreement with Almeria to loan Hungarian goalkeeper Aron Jakubshvili until June 30, 2027, with the Andalusian club retaining an option to purchase the player.

Yakubshvili is leaving Barcelona after a long journey within the club's academy, having joined in 2018 from the Athletic Sant Just academy. He progressed through various age groups until reaching the reserve team. He made his debut with Barcelona Athletic in September 2024 against Tarazona.

The Hungarian goalkeeper was one of the standout players for the A youth team that achieved a treble, winning the league, the King's Cup, and the UEFA Youth League, before embarking on his first loan spell last season in Andorra, where he featured in 21 matches in the Spanish Segunda División.

His loan to Almería, one of the clubs aspiring to compete for promotion to La Liga, represents a new step in the career of the 20-year-old goalkeeper, aimed at continuing to gain experience at the first-team level, noting that Barcelona has renewed his contract until 2028.
