Manchester City Target Manu Kone
Manchester City has expressed interest in signing Manu Kone, the Roma midfielder, during the current transfer window, after Manchester United backed away from the idea due to financial demands reaching €60 million.
Football Italia has reported that Koulibaly was a candidate to leave Roma throughout the summer, after his value increased following his impressive performances with the Italian capital club and the French national team in the 2026 World Cup.
Koundé was one of France's standout players in the World Cup, prompting Roma to raise their financial demands from €50 million to at least €60 million.
Inter and Manchester United had previously shown interest in the player before turning to other options. However, "Milan Sport" confirmed that Manchester City has rekindled its interest in Kone and the possibility of signing him.
Manchester City's interest in Koné comes after selling Tijani Reinders to Al-Qadisiyah for €61 million, having signed the player from AC Milan a year ago for €55 million, plus €14 million in add-ons.
Roma needs to complete some sales to fund their movements in the transfer market, while "TalkSport" reported that Manchester City is willing to sell Omar Marmoush and Savinho to Tottenham for €150 million for the duo.
