Roberto Carlos Clarifies Rumors, Denies Converting to Islam

Brazilian legend Roberto Carlos, former player for Real Madrid and the Brazil national team, has denied the circulating reports over the past few days regarding his conversion to Islam, asserting that the claims surrounding this matter are untrue.

Carlos stated in remarks reported by the Saudi newspaper 'Okaz': "I have the utmost respect for Islam, and it is wonderful to see my wife pray, but the rumors circulating about my conversion to Islam are not true."

Rumors of Carlos's conversion to Islam have circulated widely on social media, especially after images and clips from his wedding to Moroccan Souhaila Tahiri were shared, showcasing some Islamic customs and rituals.

The Brazilian star explained that the wedding ceremony brought together different traditions, respecting his Catholic family and his Muslim wife, along with her family and friends. He emphasized that this does not mean a change in his faith.

Carlos has put an end to the rumors linking the atmosphere of his wedding to his conversion to Islam, while also affirming his appreciation and respect for the Islamic religion.
