Lukaku Fires Back After Leaving Napoli
Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku, now with Fenerbahçe, has stated that leaving Napoli was the best decision for him, describing his last season with the Italian club as the 'worst year of his life.'
Romelu Lukaku spoke to Belgian channel HLN, stating: "It was better for me to leave Napoli. The last year there was the worst of my life."
The Belgian striker has responded to reports regarding his physical readiness, stating: "To say that I am not in good physical condition is simply wrong; perhaps it was said in Italy to hinder or boycott me. I am 100% ready to play."
Lukaku stated that he aims to continue playing until 2030, noting that his contract with Fenerbahçe extends for one season with an option for an additional year, before returning to Belgium. He emphasized that his continued presence on the pitch largely depends on his mentality and self-care.
