Barcelona Sets Price for Hector Fort as Spanish Clubs Withdraw

Hector Fort's future at Barcelona appears to be outside of Spain, as the Catalan club insists on receiving €15 million for his departure during the current summer transfer window, complicating matters for Spanish clubs interested in signing him.

According to "Sport", Real Sociedad expressed interest in acquiring Fort this week, but they backed out of the deal due to the high financial value set by Barcelona. The club preferred to secure the player on loan or for a lower fee, while Barcelona refused to lower their demands in the final days of the transfer window.

Elche attempted to sign Fort on loan, as they did last season, but Barcelona rejected the proposal. Meanwhile, the player is attracting interest from Borussia Dortmund, as well as Everton and Fulham from the Premier League.

The three clubs have not yet submitted final offers, but they are aware that Barcelona is asking for €15 million for the player's departure. The Catalan club hopes to resolve Fort's future by the end of this week or at the beginning of next week.

If Fort does not move abroad, Spanish clubs may have a chance in the final days of the transfer market. However, it is unlikely that any club in La Liga will reach a value of €15 million, or even €10 million, which is the figure Barcelona might lower their demands to.

Fort's situation has been known for several days, while his entourage is working to find the best option for his future. Inter Milan had shown interest in him at the beginning of the summer, but that option is no longer on the table. Meanwhile, Flick relies on Jules Koundé and Eric Garcia in the right-back position, with Barcelona keen on keeping Xavi Espart.
