French newspaper L'Équipe has revealed a new move from Saudi Pro League clubs to sign Senegalese defender Alpha Toure from Metz during the current summer transfer window.

Journalist Flavien Trizario reported that the Union sent their scouts to monitor the young defender, in preparation for assessing his level and the possibility of moving to secure his services.

Diriyah remains in the race to sign Toure, but the entry of Union into the competition could escalate the rivalry between the two clubs to secure the deal.

According to the French report, Metz has set an expected value for the sale of their defender ranging between €5 million and €7 million, a fee that could determine his future.

Elche is keeping an eye on Alpha Toure's situation, but the club appears to be lagging behind Saudi league teams in the race to secure the Senegalese defender's signature.

Toure is 20 years old and participated in 30 matches with Metz in Ligue 1 last season, during which he managed to provide one assist.

Toure's participation in a season that ended with Metz's relegation to Ligue 2 has made the young defender a candidate for a new experience during the summer transfer window.
