Hossam Hassan Plans to Include El-Shenawy in Egypt Squad on One Condition

Media personality Khaled El-Ghandour revealed that Hossam Hassan, the head coach of the Egypt national team, has set a fundamental condition for including goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shenawy in the Pharaohs' camp next September.

Al Ghandour stated in a television interview: "Mohamed El Shenawy, the goalkeeper of Al Ahly, will be present in the Egypt national team camp starting on September 17, in preparation for the matches against Angola and South Sudan in the first and second rounds of the qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations 2027."

Hossam Hassan, the head coach of the Egyptian national team, stated: "The coaching staff will include El-Shennawy in the Pharaohs' camp, but only if he participates with Al Ahly in the new season's matches. His absence from play will jeopardize his chances of joining the national team. If he shares playing time with Mostafa Shobeir, he will be included."

Al Ahly's journey in the Egyptian Premier League will commence on Sunday, August 23, as the Red Devils take on ENPPI in the opening round of the tournament at Cairo International Stadium.
