Borussia Dortmund Signs Giannis Konstantelias
Borussia Dortmund has officially announced today, Monday, the signing of Greek attacking midfielder Giannis Konstantelias, coming from PAOK Thessaloniki, on a contract that runs until June 30, 2031.
Constantinou is 23 years old and has progressed through the PAOK academy since joining at the age of ten, making his first-team debut at seventeen. He spent the second half of the 2021-2022 season on loan at Belgian side Eupen.
The player has played 186 official matches with PAOK's first team, scoring 41 goals, and contributed to the club's triumph in the Greek Super League title in 2024 and the Greek Cup in 2021.
On the international stage, Constantelias played for Greece's youth teams before making his debut with the senior national team in March 2023. Since then, he has appeared in 18 international matches, scoring four goals. The player stated after his transfer: "I am very happy to play in the future with Borussia Dortmund; it is a great club, and I will do my best to achieve success here."
