Alonso Opens Door for Trio's Departure
Chelsea is preparing to make new changes to its squad ahead of the closing of the summer transfer window, with Nicolas Jackson, Liam Delap, and Tosin Adarabioyo available for departure, as manager Xabi Alonso aims to reduce the number of players.
The trio was omitted from Chelsea's squad during the 3-1 friendly victory over Real Sociedad, a decision made as the Premier League season nears its start, following a summer of significant spending on new signings.
Fabrizio Romano has stated that Jackson, Delap, and Toussaint have become available for transfer, having missed the last friendly match squad, with expectations of more players leaving before the transfer window closes.
Jackson is attracting significant attention, with Sky Sports reporting that Chelsea values the Senegalese forward at around £65 million. Aston Villa is among the clubs interested in securing his services following his loan spell at Bayern Munich.
Liam Delap may depart from Chelsea despite joining from Ipswich for £30 million last summer, with the club valuing him at around £50 million. This comes amid increased competition for the striker position following the arrival of Danny Welbeck.
Meanwhile, the financial value concerning Tosin Aadarabioyo remains unclear, but Sky Sports has confirmed interest in the former Fulham defender, as Alonso aims to reduce the number of defenders and slim down Chelsea's squad before the transfer window closes.
