Juventus Pulls Out of Martinez Deal Permanently
Reliable journalist David Ornstein has revealed that the transfer of Argentine goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, currently at Aston Villa, to Juventus has been halted and will not take place at this time.
David Ornstein clarified that negotiations between the two clubs helped reduce the gap regarding the value of the deal, and there were no issues concerning the personal terms for the 33-year-old goalkeeper. However, Juventus decided not to move forward with completing the transfer.
Aston Villa will seek a solution regarding Emiliano Martinez's future in the coming period, but in any case, Japanese goalkeeper Zion Suzuki has become the new first-choice keeper for the team after the club finalized his signing from Parma.
Aston Villa had received a new offer from Juventus to part ways with their Argentine goalkeeper, valued at €10 million, consisting of €7 million fixed plus €3 million in add-ons, before the Italian club decided to withdraw from the deal.
Juventus is set to explore other options during the remainder of the transfer window, as the Italian club aims to bolster their goalkeeper position.
