Thibaut Courtois, Real Madrid's goalkeeper, expressed his happiness with the level the team showed during their 3-0 victory over Schalke, emphasizing that the match was an important test ahead of the La Liga season starting next week.

Courtois stated: "It was the final test match before the league starts next week, and it was important for us to deliver a good performance, and I think we did that. We were very solid defensively, created many chances, and played good football. I also see that everyone is in good physical condition."

He added: "Everyone is working well, and that is extremely important before the start of the season. We are very excited. Regarding José Mourinho's demands from the players, the Belgian goalkeeper explained: "A lot of focus at every moment of the match. During corner kicks and free kicks, everyone must be fully concentrated every second of the game, and we need to play well and seriously. I think that's what we're doing right now."

Courtois spoke about his physical readiness, saying: "I am in very good shape. I did a lot of gym training during the break to be ready from the first training session. I returned two days earlier than what the coach asked of me because I felt I needed some individual work before I start well."
