Barcelona Thrashes Basel 5-2 in Friendly

Barcelona achieved a significant victory over Basel with a score of 5-2 in the friendly match held on Sunday evening at St. Jakob-Park, as part of the Catalan team's preparations for the new season.

Barcelona took the lead through Karim Adeyemi in the 34th minute, assisted by Raphinha. However, Basel responded with Jean-Doucour scoring the equalizer in the 43rd minute.

In the 50th minute, Hamza Abdel Karim netted the second goal for the Catalan side, assisted by Ademi. Meanwhile, substitute Lamine Yamal converted a penalty to score the third goal in the 81st minute.

Bazel reduced the deficit through Jan Dukuri in the 43rd minute, while Jesse Pisio managed to score two goals for the Catalan team in the 89th and 90+1 minutes.

Barcelona will face Egyptian side Al Ahly on Wednesday in the Joan Gamper Trophy, which serves as the team's last preparation for the new season.
