Aston Villa Secures Deal for Suzuki
Aston Villa has reached an agreement with Parma to sign Japanese goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, in a new move to strengthen their goalkeeping position during the current summer transfer window.
According to reliable journalist David Ornstein, the deal is valued at €30 million, with incentives and bonuses that could raise the total value of the transfer to €35 million.
Suzuki, 23 years old, is set to sign a contract with Aston Villa that will last for five years, keeping him at the English club until the summer of 2031.
The Japanese goalkeeper has informed Parma officials of his clear desire to transfer to Aston Villa, stating that he prefers to join the English club during the current transfer window.
Suzuki was very close to transferring to Paris Saint-Germain, but the French club withdrew from the deal due to the goalkeeper's agents demanding commissions of up to €5 million in addition to the transfer fee.
