Al Ahly Resumes Training Camp in Spain Ahead of Barcelona Clash

According to "Youm7" newspaper, Al Ahly will resume its training program in Spain today, Sunday, after a 24-hour training break. The short holiday was organized by head coach Hussein Ammouta to alleviate physical pressure, as the team aims to enter the new season's competitions in full strength and high readiness.

Al Ahly played two friendly matches against Badalona and Europa during their training camp in Spain, winning the first match 3-0 against Badalona, but suffering a defeat against Europa with a score of 2-1.

Al Ahly is gearing up to face Spanish football giants FC Barcelona next Wednesday, August 19, as part of the 61st edition of the Joan Gamper Trophy.

The match holds special significance as it will be Barcelona's first encounter at Camp Nou following its reopening. It also represents the Catalan team's official debut in front of their fans in preparation for the start of the 2026-2027 season.
