Marseille Stands Firm on Gouiri Amid Interest from Several Clubs

Despite interest from several clubs in signing him, Olympique Marseille does not seem willing to part ways with Algerian international Amine Guiri during the current transfer window.

According to La Provence, Guiri is among the players that the French club's management prefers to retain, alongside Igor Paichao and Timothy Weah, as they are considered some of the most valuable assets in Marseille's squad.

The club management is focused on prioritizing the removal of players whose performance does not match their high salaries, before considering the sale of key sporting assets.

Marseille is currently facing financial pressures and needs to continue reducing expenses to improve its financial situation. However, the current approach is to retain Guendouzi, Payet, and Gueye unless exceptional offers come in.
