Rodri Open to Staying at Manchester City

Sky Sports has revealed new details regarding the future of Spanish midfielder Rodri at Manchester City, amid Barcelona's interest in signing him during the current summer transfer window.

According to the report, there is mutual respect between Rodri and Manchester City, as the club has informed the player that they will allow him to leave, but only if they receive the financial compensation they desire.

Rodri has made it clear to Manchester City management that he wishes to leave the team this summer, but at the same time, he fully accepts the club's position. He confirmed that if an agreement with Barcelona is not reached, he will give his all for the team for the remainder of his contract, which expires in 2027.

Barcelona is still in talks with Manchester City to finalize the deal for Rodri, having submitted a second offer worth around £55 million, approximately €65 million. However, this bid was met with rejection from the English club.

Barcelona had previously made an initial offer of €45 million to sign Rodri, but Manchester City rejected it as well, reaffirming their demand for a fee in the range of €70-80 million.
