Juventus Close to Signing Suzuki on Loan

Juventus is nearing a deal to sign Ziyon Suzuki, the Parma and Japan national team goalkeeper, on loan for the 2026/2027 season, after receiving the green light to move to the Italian club following the UEFA Super Cup match between Paris Saint-Germain and Aston Villa.

According to "Football Italia", Paris Saint-Germain has reached an agreement with Parma to sign Suzuki permanently for €35 million, including bonuses. Meanwhile, "Tuttosport" reported that the value of the deal is actually €36 million.

Suzuki is set to move to Juventus on loan after completing his transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, with expectations that the French club will continue to rely on Matvei Safonov as their starting goalkeeper for the 2026/2027 season.

Juventus hopes to benefit from Suzuki as a temporary solution in goal, before attempting to sign Alisson Becker from Liverpool on a free transfer next summer.

Tuttosport has confirmed that Suzuki has agreed to move to Juventus, with agreements in place between the Italian club and Paris Saint-Germain, as well as between the French club and Parma. Only the official procedures remain to be completed.

Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are expected to share Suzuki's salary equally during the loan period, with the goalkeeper set to undergo a medical examination in Paris before heading to Turin to complete his transfer. The French club waited until the end of the UEFA Super Cup match in case one of their goalkeepers, Matvei Safonov or Lucas Chevalier, sustained an injury.
