Roma continues its efforts to secure the signing of young Portuguese player Rodrigo Mora from Porto, but negotiations between the two parties have encountered a new setback due to a disagreement over the terms of the deal, according to the latest reports today.

The main point of contention lies in the terms of activating the mandatory purchase clause, as Porto is demanding greater guarantees before giving their final approval for the player's transfer to the Italian capital, while Roma is trying to reach a more suitable arrangement.

Porto's president André Villas-Boas refuses to compromise on his club's terms, as reports indicate that the Portuguese side wants the total package value of the deal to reach around €50 million, with clear guarantees regarding the purchase.

Despite the setbacks, communications between the two parties have not ceased, and new discussions are expected to take place today in an attempt to find a formula that satisfies both clubs. Meanwhile, Roma continues to explore alternative options in case the negotiations fail.

Mura, at just 19 years old, is one of the brightest young talents at Porto and has become a primary target for Roma this summer. However, the Portuguese club's firm stance may complicate the deal in the coming hours.
