Manchester City has rejected Barcelona's second offer for Spanish midfielder Rodri, with negotiations between the two clubs ongoing to reach an agreement during the current summer transfer window.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Barcelona's second offer was around £55 million, approximately €65 million, but Manchester City rejected it, while talks between the two parties are still ongoing.

Barcelona made an initial bid of €45 million to sign Rodri, but it was rejected by Manchester City, who believe the proposed fee does not match the player's value.

Manchester City is insisting on receiving around €80 million for the departure of Rodri, which means there remains a financial gap between the demands of the English club and the offers presented by Barcelona.

Discussions between Barcelona and Manchester City are ongoing in an effort to reach a deal that satisfies all parties, with the English club holding firm on its financial valuation while Barcelona aims to finalize the transfer as soon as possible.
