Mauro Icardi, 33, is taking his time deciding on his next destination, as he awaits an offer from a club participating in the Champions League. However, a return to Serie A remains a viable option for the striker, who previously shone in the jerseys of Sampdoria and Inter Milan.

The biggest hurdle for Lazio remains the economic aspect, given the difficulty of covering the costs of the transfer and the player's salary. However, the club is considering all available options to bolster their attack after struggling to secure several of their targets during the current transfer window.
