Official: Al Ahly Announces Return of Akram Tawfik

Al Ahly, led by Mahmoud El Khatib, has officially signed Akrm Tawfiq from Al-Shamal as part of their efforts to bolster the first-team squad at the Red Castle.

The club announced the signing of Akram Tawfiq for three seasons in a free transfer deal, following his amicable departure from Al-Shamal in recent hours.

Al Ahly clarified that Ihsam Sarag Eddin, head of the contracts sector, has completed all financial and administrative procedures, in full coordination with Wael Gomaa, the football director.

Al Ahly has lost the Egyptian League title to Zamalek and failed to qualify for the African Champions League. The club is now preparing to participate in the Confederation Cup for the upcoming season (2026-2027).
