Latest on Ahmed Abdelkader's Situation with Al-Karma

Al-Karma Club of Iraq has given its Egyptian player Ahmed Abdelkader the full authority to decide his future during the ongoing summer transfer window, amid the coaching staff's desire, led by Moamen Soliman, to finalize important signings before the start of the Iraqi Premier League.

Al-Karma has completed its external training camp in Egypt and returned to Iraq to begin final preparations for the new season, which kicks off next Friday.

The "Western Falcons" will kick off their journey by facing Mosul at the Al-Karma Stadium, in the team's first home match of the season.

According to sources within the club, the management has not yet received any official offer from Egyptian club Pyramids FC despite previous interest from the Egyptian side in acquiring the player.

Sources have indicated that Al-Karma is waiting for an official offer to enter negotiations. If the offer does not arrive, Abdelkader will quickly return to join the team's preparations for the competitions.

The Egyptian player had failed to return with the team delegation from Egypt, following an agreement with the management to grant him time to decide his destination. Abdelkader is highly regarded by coach Moamen Soliman, but his absence is almost certain for the upcoming match against Mosul if the current situation persists.

In this context, Al-Karma Club announced its official signing of Egyptian striker Marwan Hamdy to represent the team in the new season.

Sources close to the management have confirmed that the contract extends for two seasons, and the deal was made at the direct request of coach Moamen Soliman, who is looking to build a squad capable of competing for top positions in the Iraqi Premier League.

The coaching staff is relying on Marwan Hamdi's scoring experience and his ability to play as a central striker to compensate for any attacking deficiencies in the team during the upcoming fixtures.

Sources have revealed that the management has outlined several alternative options in case Ahmed Abdelkader cannot return, noting that the coach prefers to sign a player with similar attributes to the Egyptian in terms of speed and skill on the flanks.

Momen Soliman wants to attract more names from the Egyptian league before the transfer window closes, in order to strengthen the team's technical depth.
