Al-Zawraa has officially completed two signings that had been secured earlier, as part of their strategy to strengthen the squad in preparation for the upcoming season of the Iraqi Premier League.

The board of directors of Al-Zawraa Club has announced the official signing of Ivorian midfielder Ismaila Soro.

Soro is 28 years old and joins Al-Nawras as a free agent after finishing his recent stint in the Turkish league with Sakaryaspor.

Soro has represented important clubs during his career, most notably Al-Riyadh, Celtic, and Arouca. He is known for his ability to play in both the holding and advanced midfield positions, in addition to his physical strength and precise passing.

In the second deal, Al-Zawraa announced the official signing of Colombian forward Kevin Quijada, arriving from Estudiantes de Mérida in the Venezuelan Primera División.

Keyhada plays as a central striker, standing at 1.87 meters tall, which gives him an advantage in aerial duels and physical confrontations inside the penalty area.

The player graduated from the youth ranks of the famous Brazilian club Grêmio, and has experienced multiple loan spells including at Barracas Central in Argentina, Lanieros in Colombia, and Feirense in Portugal.

The statement released by the club reads:

"The Board of Directors of Al-Zawraa Sports Club announces the official completion of the contract with Ivorian midfielder Ismaila Soro and Colombian forward Kevin Quejada to represent the team in the new season."

These two signings are part of the coaching staff's vision to address the team's needs in midfield and attack, enhancing the coach's options before the start of the Iraqi Premier League.

We welcome the players to the great house of Al-Zawraa and wish them success in defending the colors of the Al-Nawras and achieving the aspirations of our fans.

Al-Zawraa's management is seeking to provide the team with a new technical boost through these two signings, especially given the coaching staff's desire to acquire a midfielder who combines European and Arab experience, along with a striker known for his physical presence in the box.
