PSG Raises Concerns Over Hosting Conditions Ahead of UEFA Super Cup

Paris Saint-Germain has voiced its displeasure to UEFA about the hosting conditions at Red Bull Arena ahead of their match against Aston Villa this Wednesday evening in the UEFA Super Cup.

The match brings together Paris Saint-Germain, the UEFA Champions League champions, and Aston Villa, the UEFA Europa League winners, as the French side seeks to add another title to their historic season after retaining their continental crown by defeating Arsenal in the Champions League final.

The issue stems from the locker rooms assigned to both teams, as Aston Villa received the room typically used by Red Bull Salzburg, while Paris Saint-Germain was set to use the designated visitor's room.

According to BBC, Paris Saint-Germain has demanded a locker room the same size as that allocated to Aston Villa, referencing their status as UEFA Super Cup holders. This request led to officials from the club expressing their dissatisfaction during the pre-match meeting.

UEFA has intervened to contain the situation and has decided to allocate an additional locker room for Paris Saint-Germain, which was usually used by officials, in order to provide more space for the players and the coaching staff led by Luis Enrique.

With this solution, Paris Saint-Germain obtained conditions closer to those that UEFA provided for Aston Villa, without transferring the officials who were supposed to use the additional room.

The French club is expected to close the chapter on the locker room crisis to focus on the match, after UEFA reached a solution following Paris Saint-Germain's complaint regarding the hosting conditions at Red Bull Arena.
