Barcelona and Manchester City in Tug-of-War Over Rodri Deal

Barcelona continues its negotiations with Manchester City to secure the signing of Spanish midfielder Rodri Hernandez, amid the player's clear desire to move to the Catalan club.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona has received Rodri's approval over the past weekend, as the player chose to join the 'Blaugrana', preferring them over Real Madrid.

The main obstacle to completing the transfer remains Manchester City's financial demands, which value Rodri at around €70 million, despite just one year left on his contract.

Meanwhile, Barcelona is seeking to complete the transfer for a fixed fee of €45 million, along with variables, which has kept negotiations in a tug-of-war between the two parties.

Barcelona is not looking to rush, as the club believes that calmness and patience may help them reach a suitable financial agreement, especially with the player's strong desire to move to Camp Nou.

However, time is beginning to press on the negotiations, with Rodri expected to return to Manchester on Friday, according to coach Enzo Maresca.
