Moroccan defender Achraf Dari's future with Al Ahly has entered a new phase of complexity, as his wish to return to Wydad Casablanca has encountered a financial obstacle that could reshape the deal and prompt the Egyptian club to reassess their plans regarding the defender's departure during the current transfer window.

According to Moroccan media reports, Dari held a meeting with Al Ahly officials on Monday evening to discuss his future with the team. However, the player insisted on receiving the full financial entitlements stipulated in his contract for the remaining two seasons, which exceed $2 million, refusing to waive them.

In light of the current situation, Al Ahly's management has turned to coach Hussein Ammouta for his opinion on the possibility of the Moroccan defender continuing with the team next season, especially considering the recent improvements in his physical condition.

Amouta has welcomed the prospect of Dari continuing with Al Ahly, as his physical condition has improved and he is no longer suffering from any injuries. This development may prompt the club to reconsider the idea of his departure, especially if a suitable financial agreement with the player cannot be reached.

Wydad Casablanca is currently in a state of anticipation as they await a decision on the future of their defender, Dari.

Achraf Dari had moved to Kalmar in Sweden on loan during the last winter transfer window, before returning once again to Al Ahly after the conclusion of his brief stint in the Swedish league.

Despite coach Amouta's desire to retain the Moroccan defender, his departure from Al Ahly is still on the table. However, the resolution of the transfer is now directly linked to the player's stance on his financial dues.

Moroccan reports indicate that Dari will be required to forfeit about half of his remaining dues at Al Ahly if he wishes to terminate his contract with the Egyptian club and pave the way for his return to Wydad.

The situation becomes more complicated with an agreement between the Moroccan defender and Wydad Casablanca regarding his return to the team next season, leaving the player's future open to multiple possibilities, whether continuing with Al Ahly or waiving part of his dues to return to his former club.
