Roma Nears Deal for Rodrigo Mora
AS Roma is close to reaching an agreement with Porto for the signing of young forward Rodrigo Mora, with a fee of €25 million to secure 50% of the player's rights.
Multiple sources, including "Sky Sport Italia" and "Sport Italia", have reported that Roma is using this approach to reach an agreement with Porto regarding Moura.
The deal stipulates that Porto retains 50% of the future sale value of the player, in a format similar to the co-ownership system that was previously in place in Italian football before its ban.
Roma is looking to include a clause that would allow them to purchase the remaining 50% stake for a fixed €25 million in the summer of 2027, giving them greater control over the total cost of the deal.
This clause aims to protect Roma from a substantial rise in Mura's market value over the next year, ensuring the club can purchase the remaining percentage at a predetermined amount.
Conversely, this arrangement provides Roma with financial protection if Mura does not develop as expected, as the Italian club will not be obligated to purchase the remaining percentage.
