Julián Álvarez Returns to Atlético Madrid Training Ahead of New Season
Argentine Julián Álvarez returned to Atlético Madrid training today, Tuesday, in preparation for the upcoming season, after starting his preparation with an individual training session at the Cerro del Espino facilities in Majadahonda.
Alvarez has been training under the supervision of fitness coach Luis Peñido, with the session including some ball work, before the player moved to the gym for a special program aimed at physically preparing him for a complete return to the team's activities.
The Argentine striker is scheduled to join team training this evening, gradually starting to work with his teammates in preparation for the new season, after undergoing medical examinations yesterday alongside Alex Peina and Marcos Llorente.
Atletico Madrid is placing significant reliance on Alvarez for the next season, as he has become one of the standout offensive elements of the team, amid coach Diego Simeone's desire to depend on him as a key player in the upcoming challenges.
Atletico Madrid is preparing to open their season with a friendly match against Olympique Marseille on August 14, before starting their La Liga campaign against Malaga on August 19 at the Metropolitano Stadium. This comes as part of an intensive preparation program for the team ahead of the official competitions.
