Athletic Bilbao's Keeper Attracts Juventus Interest

Juventus is aiming to sign Spanish goalkeeper Unai Simon from Athletic Bilbao during the current summer transfer window, as the Italian club searches for a new goalkeeper.

According to "Football Italia" citing "Tutto Mercato Web" and based on information from "Rai Sport", Juventus is preparing to sound out Athletic Bilbao regarding the possibility of signing Simon, who is valued at around €25 million.

Juventus is moving quickly to secure a new goalkeeper, especially after the club's lack of confidence in Michele Di Gregorio during the pre-season preparations, prompting the club to expedite its efforts in this area.

Simon has a strong resume with the Spanish national team, having been the starting goalkeeper during their 2026 World Cup victory, where he also received the Golden Glove award after conceding just one goal throughout the tournament.

Athletic Bilbao's goalkeeper joins Juventus' list of candidates, which also includes Japan's Zion Suzuki, who is heading to Paris Saint-Germain, along with Tottenham's Vicario.

However, signing Simon will not be easy, as he is a product of Athletic Bilbao's academy and has played for the club throughout his career. He recently renewed his contract without a release clause, making the deal a tough challenge for Juventus.
