Manchester United's Decision on Rashford Brings Zirkzee Closer to Juventus

Juventus continues to show interest in signing Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee from Manchester United on loan during the current summer transfer window.

According to "Football Italia," Manchester United's decision to reintegrate Marcus Rashford into the squad could enhance Juventus' chances of signing Zirkzee, especially given the difficulty he faces in securing regular playing time.

Zirkzee transferred to Manchester United from Bologna for €42.5 million in the summer of 2024, but he has struggled to replicate the form he showed during his final season in Serie A.

Zirkzee's chances of participation have decreased after Manchester United signed Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Šeško, alongside Marcus Rashford's return after his loan spells at Aston Villa and Barcelona.

According to "La Gazzetta dello Sport," Juventus is keen on loaning Zirkzee with an option to buy, as they currently cannot afford a permanent transfer. The player's net salary of €3.5 million per year is not expected to be a barrier to the deal.

Juventus needs to part ways with Canadian forward Jonathan David before bringing in a new striker. Zirkzee has scored 9 goals and provided 4 assists in 75 appearances for Manchester United across all competitions, after netting 11 goals and assisting 5 in 34 matches with Bologna in Serie A during the 2023/2024 season.
