Afsha: Al Ahly Must Win Titles Next Season

Mohamed Magdy Afsha, the midfielder for Al Ahly, spoke about his time at Al Ittihad last season, highlighting the importance of the Red Club winning titles in the new season.

Mohamed Afsha had joined Al Ittihad Alexandria on loan last January, before returning to the Red Devils at the end of the season, after impressing with the club from Alexandria.

Afsha stated in remarks reported by Al Ahly's official website: "My time with Ittihad Alexandria was special with a great club. The situation was tough, as we were in a difficult position, but we succeeded in staying up."

He continued: "I am at the biggest club in Africa, I have spent 7 years in the Red Castle, the team always strives to win titles, an Al Ahly player must have character."

He continued: "We must win titles next season. Every coach has his own personality and approach. Hussein Amouta treats me well; there is mutual respect, and the most important thing is the club's and the team's interests."

He stressed: "It is important for us to achieve titles next season; we did not win any trophies last season, and this is not the nature of Al Ahly."

Hussein Amouta demands that all Al Ahly players be united as one. "Everyone must play for the team, and he always asks us to stay focused."
