Diriyah Officially Signs Albanian Defender Berat Gjimshiti

Saudi club Al Diriyah announced on Monday the official signing of Albanian international defender Berat Gjimshiti, coming from Atalanta, to strengthen the squad for the new season.

The Saudi club announced the signing through its official social media accounts, in a popular-themed announcement that read: "For the watchman.. the day of joy has arrived," before adding: "The Albanian international Berat Gjimshiti.. a bird from Horan."

Jim City is known for his vast experience in European football, having donned the Atalanta shirt for years, participating in Serie A and European competitions. He was also one of the standout players in the team that clinched the Europa League title in 2024.

On the international stage, Gjemshiti represents the Albania national team and wears the captain's armband. He has participated in numerous continental and international competitions, providing him with significant experience that will bolster Al-Dhahriah's defense.

The deal is part of Diriyah Club's strategy to bolster its squad with experienced elements, in preparation for the next season, as the club aims to compete strongly and achieve its goals in the upcoming phase.
