Flick Calls Up Curtis and Hamza Abdul Karim for First Team Training
Barcelona continues its preparations for the new season, which kicks off with a match against Elche on August 23. The team returned to training on Monday morning after the players enjoyed a day off on Sunday, following their participation in the three-team friendly tournament in Udine on Saturday.
Barcelona's training session saw limited attendance from the B team players, with only Alvaro Cortes and Hamza Abdel Karim participating with the first team under coach Hans Flick.
Mundo Deportivo confirmed that the participation of Curtis and Hamza does not mean the exclusion of other Barcelona Atletic players, nor does it indicate that Flick has decided to rely solely on them. Their involvement in Monday's training session was simply that.
Goalkeepers Yakubishvili and Iker Rodriguez participated in the training session, while Joao Garcia, Eric, and Gordon returned to training on Sunday. They continued to work with the team during Monday's session.
The remaining international players who have not yet joined the team are expected to return by Wednesday at the latest, a date that will see Flick's squad completed.
Barcelona continues its preparations for the new season, awaiting the resolution of player transfer matters as the start of La Liga approaches.
