Inter Milan is preparing a new move to secure the services of French winger Moussa Diaby from Al-Ittihad, after the player returned to the club's plans a few weeks before the summer transfer window closes.

Inter Milan has placed Diaby at the top of their list for the right wing position, coinciding with their interest in Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones, as part of coach Cristian Chivu's plan to complete his squad.

The Italian club previously made an offer to the federation worth around €20 million, along with the card of Kristjan Asllani, but the proposal was not accepted due to the rejection of the swap deal idea.

Bayer Leverkusen has taken advantage of the stalled negotiations and has entered the race with a strong move aimed at offering a direct financial deal to sign the French winger, while Moussa Diaby has yet to clarify his position regarding the German offer.

Moussa Diaby is 27 years old and previously had a stint in Serie A with Crotone, before moving to Bayer Leverkusen, then donning the Aston Villa shirt, leading to his current experience with Al-Ittihad.

Inter hopes that Diaby's hesitation will give them the opportunity to revive negotiations, with the possibility of improving their financial offer to the player in the coming days, in an attempt to finalize the deal and meet Chivu's attacking demands.

The Italian club believes that signing Diaby could represent an important solution for the right-wing position, which has become one of the key issues Inter is looking to address after the departure of Dutchman Denzel Dumfries.
