Barcelona Rejects PSG's Initial Bid for Ferran Torres

Barcelona has rejected the initial offer from Paris Saint-Germain for the signing of Ferran Torres, after the French club submitted a bid worth €40 million fixed, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Barcelona is looking for a larger financial compensation to part ways with the 26-year-old player, despite knowing that Ferran Torres has reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain and is eager to make the move as soon as possible.

Barcelona is not planning to agree to Ferran Torres's departure before receiving an offer that meets their demands, especially after the player's impressive performances with the Spain national team during their World Cup campaign, which has boosted his value in the transfer market.

The Spanish newspaper reports that Paris Saint-Germain's initial offer is lower than Barcelona's demands, which is typical in negotiations, with expectations that the French club will increase their bid in the coming period to finalize the deal.

Meanwhile, journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that there is a total offer of €50 million for the signing of Ferran Torres, noting that the two clubs are close to reaching a verbal agreement.

However, sources from Barcelona quoted by Mundo Deportivo confirmed that the offer received by the club so far amounts to only €40 million, which prompted the Barcelona management to reject it and wait for a better financial offer.
