Barcelona continues to evaluate the list of players likely to leave the team before the summer transfer window closes at the end of this month. Hector Fort stands out among the names most likely to depart, as he has not clearly featured in coach Hansi Flick's plans for the new season.

Despite being listed in La Liga over the past few weeks, Fort's chances of securing a regular role with the first team appear limited, given the presence of Jules Koundé, Eric García, and Chavi Espart among the advanced options for the right-back position.

As a result, the young defender is nearing a departure from Barcelona for the second consecutive summer, with the club open to considering offers for his services, whether through a permanent transfer or a loan.

If the sale of Fort goes through, Barcelona wants to include clauses that ensure they retain some degree of control over the player's future, allowing the club to benefit from him in the future.

Fort has attracted interest from several clubs recently. According to 'Sport', English side Fulham is among the clubs keeping an eye on the 20-year-old player, who is under the guidance of former Real Madrid coach Álvaro Arbeloa.

Fort's transfer to Fulham could represent a suitable opportunity, especially since Arbeloa demonstrated last season a readiness to give young players more space to participate with the first team.

Despite the fact that the policy of relying on young talents has not resulted in trophies for Real Madrid, it has given several players the opportunity to emerge and prove their abilities, before some later departed for good financial returns. This approach may align with Barcelona's vision regarding the future of Fort.

If he moves to Fulham, the young defender may find greater opportunities for participation and development under Arbeloa, instead of being stuck on the bench for most of the 2026-2027 season, a scenario he could face if he decides to stay with Barcelona at Spotify Camp Nou.
