Ayoub Bouaddi Nears Manchester City After Personal Terms Agreed

Moroccan midfielder Ayoub Bouaddi, currently with Lille in France, has taken a significant step towards joining Manchester City during the current summer transfer window, as negotiations have seen a new development regarding the deal.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Bouadoui and his representatives have reached an agreement with Manchester City regarding the personal terms of the contract. The next step for the English club is to finalize an agreement with Lille concerning the transfer fee and the mechanics of the deal.

Negotiations between Manchester City and Lille have reached an advanced stage, with Boudi insisting on the idea of moving to the English club this summer instead of waiting until 2027, which gives the negotiations an additional boost.

Manchester City has moved early to secure the signing of the player, who has become the focus of several top European clubs following his impressive performances with the Morocco national team during the 2026 World Cup.

Manchester City was not the only club interested in signing Bouadid, as Real Madrid, Arsenal, Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain, and Manchester United have also entered the competition. The player's contract with Lille runs until June 2029, giving the French club a strong position in negotiations.

Reports estimate Bouadi's value at around €100 million, amid significant interest in his services. This figure is equivalent to double his current market value.

Lille had previously expressed their openness to selling Bamba Dieng during the current summer transfer window, with the possibility of keeping the player on loan for an additional season to continue his development.
