Official: Al Ahly's fitness coach announces departure

Mohamed Al-Shehi has officially left the coaching staff of the first team at Al-Ahli Club, just before the start of the new football season, as announced last night, Sunday.

Al-Shihy wrote on his Instagram account: "I delayed this post for more than a month... maybe because I didn't know what to write, or maybe because I wasn't ready to say that six years have come to an end."

He added: "After 6 years at Al Ahly, the place that has become my home, and a big part of my life... it's time to start a new chapter."

He continued: "Six years, more than 18 titles, thousands of moments, victories and defeats, pressure, fatigue, laughter, travel, and challenges, and most importantly: many people influenced me and made me the person and coach I am today."

The player stated: "Al Ahly taught me that there is no ceiling to ambition, and that the small details make the difference. I leave feeling grateful and proud of everything I experienced here, and of every player, coach, teammate, and management who were part of the journey."

He added: "But this is not the end of the journey... on the contrary, this is just the beginning. I still have a lot to offer, and I have bigger dreams and new challenges waiting for me. Thank God... all the good is on the way."

He concluded: "Thank you, my family, for six years that will never be forgotten, and the future, God willing, is even greater. I still have a long way to go."
