Mourinho Seeks Two Signings, Real Madrid Clarifies Position

Spanish radio station "Cadena SER" reported that the summer transfer window is not officially closed for Real Madrid, despite much of the club's movements being completed. The management will act immediately if a suitable opportunity arises to sign a new player.

According to the report, Mourinho has requested the signing of a second midfielder after the arrival of Portuguese player Bernardo Silva, as the coach aims to increase the options available to him in the midfield area, especially with the competition in all tournaments during the new season.

The source added that the Portuguese coach also requested the signing of a left-footed defender, as part of his plans to bolster and reinforce the team's defense before the start of the new season.

On the other hand, Real Madrid's management sees that the current lineup has enough quality to compete for all titles, even if the club cannot secure a new signing in midfield. Therefore, acquiring an additional player will not be mandatory but rather dependent on the emergence of a suitable opportunity in the market.

Real Madrid was very close to signing Spanish midfielder Rodri, before the player decided to join Barcelona due to the club's delay in finalizing the deal with the English club, as well as Florentino Pérez's lack of conviction in the transfer from the outset.
