Del Piero Raises Juventus' Ambitions

Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero spoke about the team's ambitions for the new season, asserting that the goal should be to build a team capable of competing and restoring the club's former glory.

During his time in Perth, Australia, Alessandro Del Piero stated that coach Luciano Spalletti does not need additional confidence from others, highlighting his vast experience and ability to communicate his ideas to players since the start of the season.

The Juventus legend stated: "Spalletti does not need my trust or the trust of others, as he has a strong background and extensive experience. The most important point for him will be to find the right balance, and to instill confidence in the team to deliver the required performance."

He added: "This season, with the work starting from the beginning, Spalletti will have a greater opportunity to transfer his mentality and ideas to the team, and thus the indicators are present, despite the many other factors that determine reaching the final result."

Discussing the possibility of Juventus returning to its former glory, Del Piero stated that building a team capable of achieving victories should be the primary goal, saying: "The aim of those working at Juventus today is to create a cycle of victories and to form a winning team."

He added: "The competition is strong, and even if there are leagues currently more famous than Serie A, we know within Juventus that the competition is high, and playing and winning in Italy is always difficult."

Regarding Juventus' participation in the Europa League, Del Piero stressed the need to treat the tournament as a genuine objective, stating: "If you are playing in a competition, how can it not be a goal?".

Del Piero's remarks come at a time when Juventus is striving to restore its place among Europe's elite, with fans hopeful for a new project capable of competing both domestically and continentally.
