Barcelona Considering New Bid for Alvarez

Argentinian journalist Gastón Edul has confirmed that Barcelona's interest in signing Julián Álvarez remains intact, noting that the Catalan club has not closed the file on the Argentine striker, despite Atlético Madrid's insistence on keeping him.

Edul has clarified that Alvarez does not wish to continue with Atletico Madrid, and he is expected to speak with coach Diego Simeone on Monday to discuss his future, a move that could be crucial in determining his stance in the upcoming period.

Barcelona is prepared to increase their financial offer to €120 million to finalize the deal, after previous reports indicated that the Catalan club had made a bid of €100 million for the player.

Idol stated: "I still believe that Alvarez has a good chance to play at Barcelona."
