Napoli Aiming to Renew Anguissa's Contract
Napoli is working to secure the future of midfielder Frank Anguissa, as coach Massimiliano Allegri wishes to retain him, despite the player entering the final year of his contract with the team.
According to "Football Italia," Anguissa's situation may see a new development thanks to Allegri's desire for him to stay, following the player's standout performance during the preseason.
Napoli had begun negotiations to renew Anguissa's contract earlier, but they stalled without reaching an agreement. However, new indications have emerged that discussions may resume in the near future.
A notable signal came on Friday when Giovanni Branchini, Allegri's agent, appeared alongside Maxim Nana, Anguissa's representative, at Napoli's training camp. Sky Sports indicated that their presence in the same location suggests the possibility of reopening renewal discussions.
Massimiliano Allegri is eager to keep Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa at Juventus, having worked closely with the player in recent weeks. The coach believes that a player with such potential is better retained than allowed to leave the team.
The decision now lies with Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis, who will have to return to negotiations with Anguissa's representatives to reach an agreement on the terms of a new contract.
