Juventus Pushes to Sign Lukumi, Offers Juan Cabal to Facilitate Deal
Juventus continues its efforts to secure the signing of John Lucumi, the Bologna defender, after the name of his compatriot Juan Cabal emerged as a potential part of the deal to bridge the gap between the two clubs.
According to "Tutto Mercato Web," citing "La Gazzetta dello Sport," Luciano Spalletti has pinpointed Lokumi as an ideal option to bolster Juventus' defense. The Colombian defender has expressed his desire to move to Turin.
Lukumi has put aside other offers, including those from the Premier League, as he desires a move to Juventus. He has also not renewed his contract with Bologna, which expires in June 2027.
The main obstacle lies in the financial aspect, as Bologna estimates Lukumi's value at around €25 million. The club has begun exploring the possibility of including a player in the deal, with Juan Cabal's name being mentioned, as he has fallen out of Spalletti's plans and is available for departure.
Both clubs are currently assessing the value of Kabala and the financial amount Juventus will need to add to complete the deal, while Lokumi is strongly pushing for the transfer, with Spalletti ready to give him a key role in the new defense.
