Barcelona Set to Make Second Bid for Rodri from Manchester City

Barcelona has officially begun its move to sign Spanish midfielder Rodri from Manchester City, after the Catalan club received the player's approval on its sporting project. Additionally, Rodri has given the green light for negotiations to commence with his English club.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona has already sent its first offer to Manchester City, in a move aimed at speeding up negotiations and not wasting time.

Reports had mentioned a fixed offer of €45 million plus variables, but sources within Barcelona confirmed that this figure is inaccurate, indicating that the club understands the need to present a larger amount to convince City.

According to English reports, including Sky Sports, Manchester City was not convinced by the initial offer and believes it does not meet their financial demands, as the club wants no less than £60 million, approximately €70 million, to part ways with the Spanish midfielder.

Barcelona currently holds a significant advantage in the race to sign Rodri, as the player has expressed his belief in the sporting project of the Catalan club and has given his approval to negotiate. He has also closed the door on a potential move to Real Madrid.

Barcelona is expected to make a second move in an attempt to reach an agreement with Manchester City.
