Real Sociedad Reaches Agreement to Sign Nayef Aguerd

Spanish club Real Sociedad has reached a verbal agreement with French side Olympique Marseille to sign Moroccan defender Nayef Aguerd, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

According to Romano, Akkord will join Real Sociedad on loan for €4 million, with an option to buy in the loan agreement valued at €11 million, bringing the Moroccan defender closer to a return to the Spanish club.

Akkord played with Real Sociedad two seasons ago on loan from West Ham, delivering strong performances during his time with the team, before transferring to Marseille.

Romano pointed out that Akkord's desire played a significant role in concluding the negotiations, as the Moroccan defender only wanted to move to Real Sociedad, which made it easier to reach an agreement between the two clubs, pending the completion of official procedures and the announcement of the deal.
