Manchester City Shocks Barcelona with Rodri Price

Journalist David Ornstein has revealed that Barcelona has made a bid to Manchester City worth around €45 million, plus variables and incentives, in an attempt to sign Spanish midfielder Rodri during the current summer transfer window.

According to the source, Manchester City's management does not see the offer as even close to the value that would allow for serious negotiations to begin, confirming that the club does not consider the current offer sufficient to open discussions about selling one of its star players.

Ornstein pointed out that City officials are holding their ground, insisting that "there are no meaningful talks yet," as the offer made does not reflect the player's true value and has not yet reached the level to be considered a serious official bid.

Meanwhile, Barcelona understands that Manchester City will not agree to part with Rodri for less than approximately €80 million, a figure that the English club considers the starting point for any potential negotiations.

The Spanish star was very close to transferring to Real Madrid, before deciding to reject the royal club and agree with Barcelona, especially after the club hesitated to finalize the deal with the English club.
