New Developments in Zizo's Crisis with Zamalek
Ashraf Abdel Aziz, the legal representative of Ahmed Mustafa "Zizo", the former Zamalek player, has revealed that he has yet to receive the reasoning behind the decision issued by the Egyptian Football Association, which rules to dismiss the player's complaint against his club.
Ashraf Abdel Aziz stated in an official statement: "To whom it may concern, we have not yet received the details regarding the complaint of player Ahmed Mostafa Mohamed Said 'Zizo', noting that:"
The decision will be issued on July 15, 2026.
A request for a copy of the decision rationale was submitted via email to the Football Association on July 15, 2026, at 7:12 PM.
The deadline for submitting a request for a copy of the decision's rationale to the Football Association is set for 16/7/2026, and it was delivered by hand.
Zizo's lawyer stated: "The deadline for appealing the decision is 10 days from the date of announcement, which is 15/7/2026. The last date to submit the appeal was 25/7/2026, and we have not yet received the reasoning for the decision. We filed the appeal on 20/7/2026 without reviewing the reasoning."
Lawyer Ashraf Abdel Aziz has submitted a complaint against the decision of the Players Affairs Committee of the Egyptian Football Association, after it decided to dismiss the complaint filed by his client against Zamalek SC, in which he demands overdue financial dues exceeding 82 million Egyptian pounds.
