Licensing Committee Denies Al-Student, Diyala, and Al-Jawlan Licenses!

The licensing committee of the Iraqi Football Federation voted against granting local licenses to three clubs from the Iraqi Premier League for the new season, namely Al-Student, Al-Jawlan, and Diyala.

The committee's decision came after reviewing the financial, administrative, and technical files of the clubs, and it was found that the requirements for granting the license according to the standards set by the Asian Football Confederation were not completed.

The committee has given the three clubs a 48-hour deadline to submit an official appeal and resolve all matters related to the granting of local licenses, or pay the stipulated fine to the Football Association.

This includes settling overdue payments for players and coaches, and completing deficiencies in infrastructure and administrative files, so that clubs can obtain final approval to participate in the Iraqi Stars League.

The denial of the license to Al-Student is a shock to the "Elegant" fans, as it is one of Baghdad's historic clubs with a large fan base. Meanwhile, both Al-Jawlan and Diyala are under significant pressure to rectify the situation before the appeal window closes.

If clubs fail to settle their financial situations within the specified deadline, they will be at risk of exclusion from the upcoming season's competitions or facing additional financial penalties.

The management of the three clubs is expected to hold emergency meetings in the coming hours to try to meet the deadline and avoid the consequences of the decision before the league starts.
