Yaisle departs Al Ahli Saudi, Newcastle announces his signing

The curtain has officially fallen on German coach Matthias Jaissle's tenure with Al Ahli, as he has left his position to take charge of Newcastle United in England, which announced his appointment as the team's head coach on a long-term contract, succeeding Eddie Howe.

The announcement came after all procedures were completed between the parties involved, allowing Yaisleh to transfer to the Premier League after three successful seasons with Al-Ahli.

Yasleh had submitted his resignation from coaching Al Ahly in recent days, amid advanced negotiations with Newcastle, before a final agreement was reached between the two clubs regarding the compensation amount, which was estimated at around £9.5 million according to English reports.

During his time with Al Ahli, the German coach led the team to notable successes, most prominently winning the AFC Champions League title twice in a row, alongside strong competition in domestic tournaments, leaving a clear mark on the Saudi club before embarking on his new adventure in England.

Jaisle expressed his happiness in his first comments after taking over the role, stating that he is excited to lead Newcastle and fulfill the ambitions of its fans. Meanwhile, Al Ahly is preparing to start the search for a new coach to lead the team in the upcoming season.
