Spanish radio station Cadena SER has revealed that Brazilian winger Vinícius Júnior has rejected the latest offer from Real Madrid to renew his contract, which was valued at €22 million annually and would extend his deal until the summer of 2031.

According to the report, the renewal file has not been resolved yet, as the player and Real Madrid management are expected to hold a crucial meeting today, in an attempt to reach a final agreement regarding his future at the club.

Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho informed Vinicius, after the World Cup, that he considers him one of the cornerstones of his technical project, emphasizing that the player is included in his plans for the new season.

Reports indicate that the relationship between Mourinho and Vinicius is described as extremely excellent, which gives Real Madrid an additional boost in its efforts to convince the Brazilian star to stay and renew his contract.
